Lakewood Photographic Society meetings are held the First and Second Tuesday evenings from 7 to 9 pm September through May. The third Tuesday will either be a hands-on workshop or fieldtrip each month.  Most meetings take place at the Lakewood Senior Center West at 16024 Madison Avenue, Lakewood, OH 44107. Please stop by and check us out. The cost is $25/year. Guests are welcome at any time.

Our next meeting is April 7th.  Members should come to this meeting with your cameras and tripods for our portraiture workshop.  Dave Stretar will be instructing up on portraiture and we will have several lighting set-ups.  One area will be to take member headshots and one area will have a model to photograph.  Guests will find Dave’s presentation very informative.  Please arrive by 7 pm so we can start on time.

Members are also reminded that on April 14 we will have a print competition so get your pictures ready to go.  Our THEME  competition is “Black+White Nature” images (monotone images also acceptable – See info on calendar)  We will also have an OPEN competition  where any image may be entered.

On April 21st LPS will welcome our presenter, Karen Beck, whose program “Striding the Divide – Glacier and Canadian Rockies” will be very informative.

Click on the competitions tab to see the results of our latest competition and from there you may go to our Facebook page to see some of the winning images.
